Wesołowski Studio

About us

We are a group of people affiliated with the studio of sculpture in architecture and large-format art installation. We share an interest in form and its relation with space that usually goes beyond the four walls of standard exhibition space.

Piotr Wesołowski PhD, Eng. of Architecture

I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw in 2008 with a diploma: ‘Sculpture-architecture, architecture-sculpture.’ I also graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Wrocław University of Technology and the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom. In 2016, I defended my doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Technology.

I currently live and create near Wroclaw, consistently exploring topics on the border of sculpture and architecture – mostly designing and building large-scale art installations.

I collaborate with other artists on a regular basis, and as an academic teacher in the studio ‘Sculpture design in architecture and urbanism’ at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and at the Wrocław University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture in the Department of Architecture and Visual Arts I often invite my students (or get invited by them) to co-create designs for competitions and symposiums. Wesolowski Studio is a natural follow-up to this approach, created in an attempt to gather a tight-knit team, ready to tackle any sculpture-related challenge.

Karola Konieczny

Since I was a little girl, I have been curious about the world and looking for my place. I am interested in everything new and unknown. Since I started studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, spatial forms have drawn me in completely. Recently I have been blown away to Rome in search of marble.

Aleksander Bryk

Having decided to devote my life to avoiding any useful activity, I’ve worked the music industry, stage lighting, design (a diploma in design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw), and computer graphics. I support the studio primarily from the digital side, testing and visualizing ideas in three virtual dimensions.
